Martin Lass was born in Chicago and grew up in Sydney, Australia. He is a violinist, composer, astrologer, and published author. After many years of seeking self-knowledge through books, including the works of Ouspensky and Gurdjieff, he sought out and became part of the Newport Work group in Sydney under the direction of George M. Adie. He was with this group for 10 years. After the passing of both Mr. and Mrs. Adie, Martin became part of another esoteric school, this time with lineage to the Egyptian Mystery schools, and he stayed here for another 10 years. He is now a member of another (unnamed) Gurdjieff group. Martin lives in New York with his wife of 32 years, and together they have three grown children, and one grandchild.
